Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion for sprinting in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. A year later Felix earned the first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece making the world junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest to win the 200 meter during the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title time and time again in 2007 beating her time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix placed consistently within the top three across her diverse races in the Olympics which took place in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
