Amy Carlson

 

Amy Lynn Carlson (born July 7th the 7th of July, 1968) is an American actor who is famous for her roles as Linda Reagan in the CBS police procedural Blue Bloods, as Alex Taylor on the NBC drama Third Watch, and Josie Watts in the NBC daytime soap drama Another World.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Carlson was born in Elmhurst in Illinois in DuPage County Illinois which is near Chicago. She was raised in Glen Ellyn in Illinois by her parents, Robert Eugene Carlson and Barbara Jane (Hultman), teachers in the school. She is of Swedish descent , and has roots in Smaland.



 



 Career



 1986-1992: College and early career



 She first came to Hollywood through her part as a background actress in the movie Lucas with Charlie Sheen (Corey Haim) and Winona Ryder. She later joined her older sister Betsy (Knox College) to Galesburg.
